　　中国人民南京军区是中国人民解放军主管江苏、安徽、浙江、江西、福建、上海五省一市军事事务的大军区，总部设于南京。
　　其防区与朝鲜半岛、日本和台湾岛隔海相望，是祖国大陆的东南门户，战略位置极为重要。
　　南京军区的主要作战使命是保卫南京、上海、杭州、福州等东南沿海发达的特大城市和工业区的安全。
　　南京军区部队番号大全：
　　部队番号为部队的编制名称，一般按照部队的性质、编制序列授予，如步兵第X团，航空兵第X师等。部队番号属于军队机密，仅限于内部掌握使用。
　　部队番号狭义上是指按照部队的性质、编制序列和数字顺序授予的部队名号。如炮兵第一师。亦可泛指军队中按单位性质授予的名称。如&&省军区。
　　在中国，部队番号一般仅在内部使用，对外公开的只是其代号。1949年建国后，解放军即开始对外使用代号，如著名的8341部队即中央警卫团的代号。日开始，中国人民解放军陆军集团军番号可以对外公开使用，陆军集团军番号不再以&某&替代。
