前总统获英国难民身份？马尔代夫要求给个说法

新华网北京5月24日电 马尔代夫前总统穆罕默德&纳希德的律师23日说，已经给予纳希德难民身份。英国内政部拒绝对此发表评论。
纳希德去年因违反反恐法被判刑。今年1月，马尔代夫政府批准在监狱服刑的纳希德前往英国治疗脊髓疾病。
纳希德的律师哈桑&拉蒂夫在马尔代夫首都马累接受路透社采访时说：“纳希德已经获得英国政治难民身份。”纳希德的个人网站和他所在的政党也宣布了这个消息。
马尔代夫政府对此消息反应迅速，对报道所称英国给予纳希德难民身份表示“关切”。
马尔代夫外交部发表声明指出，纳希德被特许前往英国治疗疾病，在完成治疗后应当回国继续服刑，而获得英国难民身份表明他想逃避刑罚。
声明还指出，如果消息属实，马尔代夫对英国“允许自己参与这种把戏”感到失望。
英国内政部一名发言人对法新社表示：“按惯例，我们不对个案发表评论。”

纳希德2008年至2012年担任总统。2012年初，马尔代夫爆发大规模反政府游行，纳希德2月宣布辞职。
2015年3月，纳希德因违反反恐法被判处13年监禁。他的多名支持者称，针对纳希德的指控包含政治动因，意在让他无法参加定于2018年举行的总统选举。
2015年7月，纳希德由监狱关押转为软禁，但两个月后再次被送入监狱。他的律师团队多次以纳希德患病而国内无法治疗为由，要求政府批准他出国就医。
法新社称，纳希德前往英国治病是由英国、和从中斡旋达成的，他在抵达伦敦后曾受到英国首相戴维&卡梅伦的高调接见。
上个月，马尔代夫政府曾要求纳希德回国，并取消了他的退休金权益和医疗保险。（记者徐力宇，编辑李宏，新华国际客户端报道）
